COVID-19 Policy

In the event of a government mandated travel restriction, either in your place of residence, or in Aspen, the North of Nell agrees to the following policy should guests need to cancel or change their stay within 30 days of their scheduled arrival date:

Should a restriction occur where travel is prohibited, 100% of funds paid will be rolled over to the 2021-2022 ski season or 97% returned on how the deposit was paid.

Should a restriction occur where there is a government mandated shut down of lodging operations in Aspen, or in the event that the Ski resorts are closed, 100% of funds paid will be rolled over to the 2021-2022 ski season or 97% returned on how the deposit was paid.

If a guest tests positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of such guest’s arrival date and provides notice at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled arrival (and does not travel to Aspen), 100% of funds paid will be rolled over to the 2021-2022 ski season or 97% returned on how the deposit was paid. An official, dated, proof of positive test will be required.

In the event of one or more of, but not limited to, the following circumstances, the COVID-19 cancellation policy will not apply and the deposit monies will be forfeited:

A personal decision not to travel due to COVID concerns

Quarantine requirements either on arrival to Aspen or post travel (upon return home)

Any other reason that does not fall within the travel protection policy outlined above

As per guidelines provided by Pitkin County:

All guests that experience symptoms of COVID-19 should isolate away from others, and contact a local health care provider for guidance and schedule testing for COVID-19.

Lodging staff shall support efforts to engage guests in the County Contact Tracing efforts in order to identify those who need to be alerted about the possibility of exposure to the virus.

Individuals in close contact (e.g. family members, travel companions, sharing same lodging, and anyone within 6 feet for longer than 15 minutes without a mask) with a guest with COVID-19 symptoms should be quarantined for 14 days.

Adhering to isolation and quarantine requirements may prolong a guest(s) stay. The North of Nell will work with these guests to continue lodging arrangements at the guest’s expense or as negotiated with lodging management for the remainder of the isolation/quarantine period. Expectations and financial responsibility of guests if they must isolate or quarantine in place and prolong their stay will be communicated in advance to guests. Measures will be implemented to provide guests with food service that minimize interaction and exposure to staff.
